Tweetminster enters US market by partnering with Tweetcongress
We’re delighted to announce a partnership with @tweetcongress, which will see us enter the US market.
Through our relationship with @tweetcongress:
- Tweetminster technology will power the Tweetcongress website
- Tweetcongress will partner on selling Tweetminster’s commercial social media monitoring services in the US
- Tweetminster and Tweetcongress to jointly publish research & analysis
As part of the partnership, the Tweetcongress website will start running on the new Tweetminster technology platform. A first version of the new Tweetcongress site launched today, and includes ‘Channels’ encompassing livestreams of tweets, trends and most shared links by politicians and US media on Twitter.
Over the next month, the full set of Tweetminster technology will be integrated into the site, including live sentiment tracking, Twitter volume, trends and thematic Channel pages tracking key issues, such as the economy and foreign affairs. These pages will bring together relevant content and insight dynamically captured from networks of Twitter influencers within each subject area.
Tweetminster and Tweetcongress will also work together on publishing research and analysis, similar to the reports, stats and infographics that Tweetminster currently publishes in the UK. Tweetminster tracked and published trends throughout the UK General Election - and most recently produced a report analysing the coalition Government’s first 100 days.
Before Christmas we will jointly release a suite of commercial services, including a US version of Tweetminster’s data-driven monitoring tools. These services will be distributed in the US through the Tweetcongress team as co-branded products.
Andrew Walker, co-founder and Chief Innovation Officer at Tweetminster said:
“We’ve always known we needed to enter the US market and when we reached that point in our development path it seemed an obvious step to build a partnership with the leading US brand. You could try to compete for territories like an old school company, but social tech has enabled new collaborative business models to emerge and that’s what Tweetminster and Tweetcongress are all about. This way we leverage each other’s brands, tech and reach to grow both companies for a significantly lower spend than we could by becoming rivals and accepting a smaller market share for each company.”
Chris McCroskey, CEO of Tweetcongress said:
“TweetCongress has been at the forefront of political social activism for over two years. Partnering with Tweetminster will extend our ability to be useful to voters as well as elected officials. Tweetminster’s social sentiment will revolutionize the way politicians can interact with their constituents and we are proud to offer it as a new service.”
